Follow these steps to install the ExamView Assessment Suite on your Mac or Windows:

Log in to your Evolve account and access one of your resources.
Click on the ‘Instructor Resources’ folder.
Click ‘Download by Resource Type’ or ‘Downloads’ folder.
Follow the next steps, depending on your operating sytem:
- Windows

  - Intel® processor 2 GHz or higher (or equivalent)
  - 32- or 64-bit Kernel and Extensions
  - 512 MB RAM
  - 300 MB hard disk space
  - Monitor capable of displaying 1024 x 768 or higher resolution
  - An active internet connection (to access online Help and ExamView Cloud, to utilize the content update feature and to publish an HTML test)
    1. Click ‘Test bank - ExamView for Macintosh’ and save the folder to your computer.
    2. Locate the file called ‘Examview.pkg’ in your downloads folder and click on it to start the setup wizard.
    3. Walk through the wizard and close the setup application once the installation is complete.
    4. Go to your applications list and click the folder ‘eInstruction’, then click ‘Examview Pro’. The list with installed applications will appear.
  After completing these steps you’ll have access to the following applications on your Mac:

  - ExamView Test Manager
  - ExamView Test Viewer

If the changes aren’t reflected in your roster, click ‘Refresh Table’ in the ‘Rosters & Teams’ main window.

Previous versions of the ExamView Assessment Suite software installed to an ExamView folder in the root of your hard drive. However, ExamView version 8.1 installers follow the software industry install path and install into the Program Files/eInstruction/ folder on the PC and the Applications/eInstruction/ folder on the MAC. Thus, if you have an earlier version of ExamView on your computer and you install ExamView version 8.1, the application and data files will install to a different location than your previous titles. The following instructions will guide you on how to move your old files to the new location.

Step 1. Locate your bank files in the earlier version of ExamView on your hard drive.

PC:
- C:/ExamView/Banks
MAC:
- C:/ExamView Pro/Banks
Note that the path could be different than above if the default install path was not used.

Step 2. Move your banks from the earlier version of ExamView to EV8.1.

Highlight the folders containing the banks you want to move and cut them.
Go to the Banks folder in EV8.1.
- PC: C:/Program Files/eInstruction/ExamView/Banks
- MAC: C:/Applications/eInstruction/ExamView/Banks
Paste the folders with the banks into the Banks folder.

Step 3. Move your tests and classes from the earlier version of ExamView to EV8.1.

If your title includes tests as well as banks, return to the location of the earlier version of
ExamView on your hard drive.
Open the Tests folder, highlight the files you want to move, and cut them.
Go to the Tests folder in EV8.1.
- PC: C:/Program Files/eInstruction/ExamView/Tests
- MAC: C:/Applications/eInstruction/ExamView/Tests
Paste the files into the Tests folder.
If class rosters have been created, repeat this process for the Classes folder.

Step 4. Reset the default locations for opening and saving banks and tests.

Open the ExamView Test Generator, go to the Edit menu, and choose Preferences.
Choose the Files tab and use the folder icons on the right to set your defaults to the proper locations.

Note: On the MAC, your location would show Applications where the above screen capture indicates
Program Files.
